ZaiBi for Android

Your videos and music, a browser that finds videos, and downloads that resume. Free, with an optional Pro upgrade.

Version 0.6.0 · 37.9 MB · Android 7.0 or newer. This is the right file for almost every phone made since 2017 (64-bit).

Older phone, or the install says it isn't compatible? Use the 32-bit file (35.2 MB).

How to install

About a minute. ZaiBi isn't in Google Play yet, so Android asks you to confirm.

Download the file
Tap Download for Android above (about 37.9 MB, so give it a minute on slow data). If your browser says the file "may be harmful", that is its standard message for any app outside a store. Tap Download anyway or Keep.
Open it
Tap the finished download (or open your phone's Files › Downloads and tap the ZaiBi .apk file).
Allow installs from your browser
Android may say it can't install from this source. Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then press back. You can switch it off again afterwards.
Install
Tap Install. If Google Play Protect warns that the app is "harmful" or "blocked", tap More details, then Install anyway. It only says this because it hasn't seen this app before; ZaiBi does nothing harmful.
Open and allow media access
Open ZaiBi. When it asks to allow photos & videos and audio, tap Allow so it can build your Library.

Try these, in order. Most phones are fixed by the first two.

Remove any older ZaiBi
Settings › Apps › ZaiBi › Uninstall, then install again. An older test copy signed differently blocks the new one.
Download it again
If the download stopped or your connection dropped, the file is damaged. Delete it and download again. The finished file is about 37.9 MB; if yours is much smaller, it didn't finish.
Free up some space
Android needs a few hundred MB free to install. Delete something and try again.
Try the other file
Very old 32-bit phones need the 32-bit file.
Play Protect blocking it
Open Google Play › your picture › Play Protect › settings icon, and switch off Scan apps with Play Protect while you install. Switch it back on afterwards.
